Coping with Treatment Side Effects
Ernest H. Rosenbaum, MD, Malin Dollinger, MD,
Barbara F. Piper, RN, OCN, DNSc, and Isadora
Rosenbaum, MA
Adapted for the Canadian edition by David Warr,
MD
When you are ill, your overriding goal is to get
well and return to an active life. If you are
going to reach that goal, every part of your
rehabilitation program is important—the
psychological and social dimensions,
nutrition, pain control and all the
others. But unless the side
effects of treatment are
looked after, you might not
have the energy nor even the
desire to get back to a normal life.
